Our next General Membership meeting will be at 6:30 PM on Tuesday March 16th, at the Local 5 union offices .

Matt Scott, the new webmaster here. For those of you that don’t know me, I’m one of the inhabitants of the cave back in the Gold Room at Burnside.

I’ll be adding my contact info shortly, and will hopefully begin accepting content submissions soon after. Until then, enjoy the fresh update, as sparse as it is.

New Local 5 Website Goes Live!

Finally, at long last, Local 5 has launched its new website.  We have included the history of our Union as well as a ton of facts about the benefits of working in a Union shop.  We hope this site will serve as an inspiration for others to get informed on their own rights as a worker and take that important step to join a Union and bring democracy to their own workplaces!
